Grants & Giving

We are stewards of Biogen’s global grants and giving strategy which aims to catalyze scientific innovation, address unmet patient needs, and advance medical and disease education through funding a variety of programs and initiatives throughout the year.

The Biogen Grants Management & Strategic Giving office strives to create opportunities through various funding mechanisms including grants, fellowships and sponsorships.

We are pleased to share that our grant application portal will be open for submissions as of May 1, 2024. At this time, we will only be accepting applications which meet specific criteria:

• Only Grant Applications outside of North America will be accepted in 2024.
• Applications must be related to one of the following disease areas: Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

We are continuously reviewing and evaluating our global grants strategy and will modify the above-mentioned criteria accordingly.  

Grants and Fellowships:
All requests for grants and fellowships are temporarily deferred until 2024, apply here.

Sponsorships:
For Sponsorship requests in Australia, New Zealand, United States, or those global in scope, apply here.
